PRACTICAL TRAINING
​
Students are posted into various clinical areas within hospitals and community settings to observe and apply the theoretical knowledge they have gained. They undergo rotations in medical, surgical, orthopaedics, paediatrics, ophthalmology, ENT, O.T., gynecology and maternity wards, gaining hands-on experience in different specialties as required by their curriculum.
For Community Health Nursing Practice, students are placed in both urban and rural health centers. During their clinical training, they are supervised by their experienced teachers who guide them in developing essential nursing skills and competencies.

B. INTERNAL ASSESSMENT
​
• 25% internal assessment for all theory papers and 50% internal assessment for all practicals will be conducted.
• Regular and periodic assessment for each subject and clinical/field experience will take place every month.
• Internal assessment will be including written tests, assignments and class presentations.
• Students must secure 50% marks in internal assessment separately in each theory and practical examinations.

C. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE EXAMINATIONS
​
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the State Council / Board Examination if the Principal of the school certifies that:
​
(a) The student has completed at least 11 months of the course.
(b) The student has attended 80% of formal instructions in each subject and 80% of clinical field experience in each subject separately during the academic year. The total clinical/field experience prescribed must be completed before the final Council / Board examinations and before the diploma is issued.
(c) The student’s overall performance and conduct throughout the academic year have been satisfactory.
(d) The student has passed the internal assessment in each subject and practical.
(e) The record for practical experience has been completed. The Principal must submit both theory and practical internal assessments to the Council / Board before the final examination.
D. GRADING PATTERN

The examinations shall be graded based on the aggregate marks obtained over the three-year training program as follows:
